Let your talents shine onstage or behind the scenes!

Play selection for the 2022 Quad City Music Guild season will be virtual this year due to Covid. Since the pandemic affects our ability to gather in large groups, we have adapted to create a virtual process that will maintain the integrity of our typical play selection process. The bread and butter of this process is that everyone – from our patrons, to our volunteers, to our seasoned performers, to any interested newcomers – everyone is welcomed and encouraged to participate in the process.

With this in mind, we have created a quick online survey to kick-start 2022 play selection. This survey will help us get to know what types of shows you’d like to see staged in 2022. It even has a place for you to suggest specific show titles for the season.

If you’d like to be part of the most important decision we make all year, please click on the link below and take the survey. The survey will be open through March 31st.

After March 31st, our play selection committee will collect your suggestions. We’ll later share the results with you. We’ll outline the most popular and viable shows that you want to see staged. And, we’ll follow-up to let you vote again on which of your favorites will make the 2022 season the greatest QCMG has staged yet!

Through every step of this process, you’ll be able to add comments to argue the merits of your favorite shows.

We mount a spring production, three summer productions, and a holiday production. We will select all five shows out of this process.

The play selection committee will also host two virtual conferences (via Zoom or another similar virtual service) that will allow you to speak directly to the play selection committee chairs, if need be. These will be held Tuesday, April 13th at 6:30 pm and Saturday, April 17th at 2:00 pm. We will share details to log in at a later date. Due to the limitations of this type of software, these two virtual conferences are not intended to function like our previous play selection meetings. But rather, they will function like office hours with your favorite college professor or public comments at a board meeting.

Everyone’s suggestions will be carefully considered by a committee appointed by Quad City Music Guild’s leadership. This committee will eventually present a slate of five musicals for the 2022 season for the QCMG Board to vote on and approve.

If you can’t or don’t wish to participate in our online survey, you are still encouraged to email any ideas you have for our 2022 season to [email protected].

Thanks, as always, for your involvement and support of QCMG!

There are many ways to get involved at Quad City Music Guild. Everything we accomplish is done through the work of our dedicated volunteers, who appear onstage, work backstage, and keep our theatre running.  Our Member Patrons and other donors make everything possible.
