Open Audition Call for Prom and Gypsy

Quad City Music Guild is looking for a few good men for our Summer productions of The Prom and Gypsy. We will be accepting video auditions now through Friday March 14th. The Prom

The staff of The Prom is seeking 3-5 men ages 18-40 to join us for the July production to play various featured ensemble members.  We have a very active ensemble that are heavily involved in most of the shows numbers and scenes.  These ensemble tracks will include PTA parents, teachers, coaches and other various members of the town, along with playing members of the Touring Non-Equity cast of Godspell.  All vocal ranges and levels of dance ability are encouraged to audition.

Gypsy

The staff of Gypsy is looking for three young men to join our fantastic cast. Please see the descriptions below. 

Tulsa (plays age 17 – 25, but will consider outside that range); Vocal Range C3-G5 -Boy-next-door type. Strives to break out of the troupe with an act of his own. Sings and dances “All I Need Is the Girl.” Strong dancer in all styles of show dance, including tap. Good singer, charming, athletic, and handsome young man. High Baritone.

L.A.  (plays age 17 – 25, but will consider outside that range) Young man who sings and dances backup for teenage June, plus joins in the number “Have an Eggroll, Mr. Goldstone.” Should be a good singer and dancer. May double as small parts in Act I and Act II, potentially some backup dancing in Gypsy’s strip routine. Some comedic skills are very helpful as L.A. has several funny lines.

Yonkers (plays age 17 – 25, but will consider outside that range) Young man who sings and dances backup for teenage June, plus joins in the number “Have an Eggroll, Mr. Goldstone.” Should be a good singer and dancer. May double as small parts in Act I and Act II, potentially some backup dancing in Gypsy’s strip routine. Some comedic skills are very helpful as Yonkers has several funny lines.
