The Quad-City Music Guild Youth Chorus will be auditioning singers, 3rd through 8th grade, to be in our chorus. We are looking for quality treble voices from hard working and enthusiastic young people to participate. We will be performing music from a variety of musicals of different eras. Our audition dates will be by appointment on June 1st and 3rd from 3:00-5:00pm. Song files and sheet music for America, the Beautiful or Happy Birthday will be made available for the audition. Those auditioning should also be prepared to tap a few rhythms and sing back some simple melodies. After auditions, an email will be sent to those young people who are selected. Members will be asked to pay a fee of $50 to help offset the cost of music, and to pay for the performance shirt.
The QCMG Youth Chorus rehearse on Mondays in the fall, beginning on the 19th of August, initially either 4:15-5:00pm for Part 1 or 5:15-6:00p.m. for Part 2 (full ensemble in Oct. 4:30-6:00) in the lobby of our theater in Prospect Park in Moline. Our fall concert will be December 7th, and spring concert on April 26th.
