Show Specific Information

Mamma Mia!

We are looking for some high energy performers to join the cast of Mamma Mia! this summer! Roles available include Eddie (who is a young male lead) and all ensemble (girls & guys). We will only be casting 1-2 female ensemble members, whereas we need 5 or so male ensemble members (all ages).

The ensemble of this show is incredibly active and involved in every single scene. You sing literally every song in the show. You don’t have to be a professional dancer to be part of the show, but it would help if you had a little rhythm.

We will begin rehearsals around May 10th. Performance weekends would be July 9-11 and July 15-18. Please list on your audition form any conflicts you have during that time period. You can find the audition form on QCMG’s website. Please fill it out and bring it with you to your audition.

Please wear a mask and comfortable clothes to dance.

If you can’t make it to auditions, but want to be part of the show – please send a video audition! We’d like to see 32 bars of a song. Sing something high energy and f.u.n. That goes for in-person auditions as well. Anyone auditioning in-person will also have to learn and perform a short dance combo. If you’re sending a video, we obviously can’t teach you a dance. So, we’re asking that you record yourself dancing to the ABBA song Dancing Queen. Show us your BEST MOVES. Just a 30 second clip or so is fine.

If you know a fella who wants to be onstage, bring him along! We need dudes!

Matilda

We are looking for active, moving ensemble members, ages 16+ with featured moments throughout the show. These will include: Cook, Henchman 1-3, Parents, and other featured parts.

  • MUSIC – Please prepare a maximum of 16 bars of any song that you feel best shows off your talents and range. Songs from the show are welcome. Please keep in mind that our accompanist will be sight-reading your music.
  • DANCE – You will be taught a simple dance at auditions. Dress comfortably so you can freely move about. For video auditions, please show us some prepared dance moves.  If you can do any tumbling or gymnastics, please share those skills as well.

You are welcome to combine the video audition into either one video or two separate videos.

Don’t be nervous and have fun with your audition! We are as excited as you are to bring this wonderful show to life on stage!
